In a golden tent
The King did lie
His leg up on a stool
Golden armour waiting
By, all unstrapped
My Mary did hold him and
Tend his eye and leg
With soft anointment
Of her herbes and tie him with
Her cloth
And give him rest.
From a golded bottle she did have him sup
An spread pasted ointment on him from a cup
And stayed him as he didst struggle to sit up.
The King gasped, and all around gave a shout
He breathed his last and blood all gush’ed out
Mary ran to him with a clout
And softly spake his name as his spirit did out

His sword a lying on the ground
The crowd all silent weeping the only sound
